Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Papua (UNIPA) sukses menyelenggarakan prosesi pelepasan lulusan Periode II Tahun Akademik 2025/2026 yang berlangsung khidmat pada Rabu (11/3) pukul 10.00 WIT. Bertempat di Ruang PT.1 Fakultas Peternakan, acara ini menandai keberhasilan sembilan orang lulusan yang telah menyelesaikan studi mereka. Para lulusan tersebut terdiri dari 6 orang dari Program Studi S1 Peternakan serta 3 orang dari Program Studi S1 Nutrisi dan Teknologi Pakan Ternak.

Acara ini dihadiri langsung oleh Wakil Rektor Bidang Perencanaan dan Kerjasama, Dr. Yusuf W. Sawaki, S.Pd., MA, beserta sejumlah tamu undangan penting lainnya. Turut hadir pula perwakilan dari Dinas Peternakan dan Kesehatan Hewan Provinsi Papua Barat serta Dinas Pertanian dan Ketahanan Pangan Kabupaten Manokwari. Kehadiran para dekan, direktur pascasarjana, hingga orang tua dan wali siswa menambah suasana hangat sekaligus bangga dalam mengantarkan para sarjana baru ini menuju gerbang dunia profesional.

Momen istimewa terjadi saat Dekan Fakultas Peternakan menyerahkan penghargaan kepada Meylan Ruth Kambu sebagai lulusan terbaik periode ini. Meylan berhasil meraih Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) 3,35 dengan predikat Sangat Memuaskan. Prestasi gemilang ini diharapkan menjadi representasi kualitas lulusan UNIPA yang kompeten dan memiliki daya saing tinggi. Melalui pelepasan ini, Fakultas Peternakan kembali menegaskan komitmennya dalam mencetak sumber daya manusia unggul yang siap berkontribusi nyata bagi pembangunan sektor peternakan, baik di Tanah Papua maupun di tingkat nasional.

Faculty of Animal Science UNIPA Celebrates the Graduation Ceremony for Period II 2025/2026

The Faculty of Animal Science at the University of Papua (UNIPA) successfully held its Graduation Send-off Ceremony for Period II of the 2025/2026 Academic Year on Wednesday (11/3) at 10:00 AM WIT. Held in Room PT.1 of the Faculty of Animal Science, the solemn event marked the academic completion of nine graduates. This cohort consists of six graduates from the Animal Husbandry Bachelor’s Program and three from the Animal Nutrition and Feed Technology Bachelor’s Program.

The ceremony was attended by the Vice-Rector for Planning and Cooperation, Dr. Yusuf W. Sawaki, S.Pd., MA, alongside several distinguished guests. Also in attendance were representatives from the West Papua Provincial Office of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health, as well as the Manokwari Regency Office of Agriculture and Food Security. The presence of deans, the director of the postgraduate program, and the graduates’ parents and guardians added to the warm and proud atmosphere as these new scholars were ushered toward their professional journeys.

A highlight of the event was the presentation of the award for Top Graduate to Meylan Ruth Kambu, who achieved a Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.35 with the distinction of Very Satisfactory (Sangat Memuaskan). This outstanding achievement is expected to represent the quality of UNIPA graduates, who are characterized by their competence and high competitiveness. Through this graduation ceremony, the Faculty of Animal Science reaffirms its commitment to producing exceptional human resources ready to make tangible contributions to the development of the livestock sector, both in Papua and nationwide.
